With the Soundcraft® Ui MIDI mixer app, users can easily map "virtual" faders from their Ui mixer to a hardware MIDI controller using the built-in "learn" function. This allows for seamless control over MICS, LINE inputs, SUBS, DRUMS, GUITAR volume, and effects such as reverb, chorus, and delay through MIDI equipment like keyboards or pedals, eliminating the need to interact directly with the display.
The app enables remote operation and swift activation/deactivation of FX effects using hardware buttons on the MIDI controller. Notable features in version 2.1.21 include optimized code for iOS/iPadOS 15.2, GAINS MIDI control on input channels (Ui12/Ui16 + Ui24R), programmable MIDI buttons for specific presets, direct preset access with light feedback on the MIDI controller, live view of channel VU meters (in MC mode with compatible MIDI controllers), quick EQ/DYN page access for selected channels from the MIDI controller, and the ability to save/load settings and presets for easy backups.
New additions in version 2.0 include user preset/bank creation, control of GUITAR DIGITECH sims module by MIDI controllers/pedals, and support for universal "Mackie protocol" on professional MIDI controllers.
Version 1.5 introduced MIDI control of phones outputs via AUX BUSes (Ui12/16 mixers), autostart of motorized faders' position upon connecting MIDI controllers, and improved scene/cue switching on U24 mixers.
In version 1.4, enhancements comprised channel selection via MIDI for quick layout switching, automatic channel selection while moving faders, panorama assignment to physical MIDI knobs with feedback on LED-equipped controllers, global TAP function to set delay tempo via MIDI, optimized recognition of connected MIDI controllers to eliminate "MIDI IN: no_conn" issues, and enhanced iOS/iPadOS support.
Version 1.3 brought expanded MIDI control over AUX BUSES allowing individual musician control over send levels, support for motorized faders like BCF2000/X-TOUCH Midi controllers, feedback display of Ui faders and buttons status through hardware controllers with LED indicators, addition of MIDI messages NOTE ON/OFF to operate Ui buttons/functions via extended "learn" functionality, VCA fader operation via MIDI (Ui24r), and control over PREV/NEXT SNAPSHOTs and CUEs through MIDI (Ui24r).
Version 1.2 introduced background mode operation and a visually appealing dark mode.
